Frequently asked questions
How do I join?
Sign in on your account with Discord, join the server in Minecraft and you'll get an 8-character code. Enter it on your account page and rejoin. The full guide is on Play.
What's the server address and version?
Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 only. The address is on the Play page. Bedrock isn't supported yet.
Why do I have to link my account?
Linking connects your Minecraft account to your Discord sign-in, so your stats and ranks follow you and we can keep cheaters out. You can unlink or delete your account at any time.
Is the network open yet?
Not quite. SG Network is in alpha: Classic SG is still being finished, and playtests are invite-only. Sign up in #alpha-signup on our Discord. Join before launch to get the Founding Member role.
How do ranks work?
You have a separate rank for Classic and Modern, from Wood to Netherite, earned from wins, kills, survival and placements. They're hard to climb and can never be bought. See Ranks.
Is it pay-to-win?
No. Anything sold in a future store will be cosmetic only.
What's the SG mod? Do I need it?
It's optional. The SG client mod will show your rank cape and some extras in game. You can always play with plain Minecraft. Details on Play.
Can I help build SG Network?
Yes! We're looking for builders, moderators, clippers/editors and testers. Apply here (18+ only).
How do I report a player or a bug?
Message a moderator on our Discord with what happened, when and (if you can) a clip or screenshot. Please report bugs privately rather than sharing them.
Where are the rules?
On the Rules page. They apply on Discord and in game.
Is the network up right now?
Check Network status.
