Who we are
SG Network is a Minecraft Java Survival Games network run from the United Kingdom. We follow UK data protection law (UK GDPR). Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we store
- Your Discord sign-in: Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar, so you can sign in and so staff can tell who's who.
- Your Minecraft account: UUID and in-game name once you link it, plus a history of when it was linked or unlinked, to control who can join the server.
- Game data: matches you play in, kills, placements and the ranks worked out from them. These are public on your profile and the leaderboards.
- Profile choices: a display name and picture if you set your own.
- Staff applications: the answers you give. They are deleted within 6 months, straight away if you withdraw, and when an application is declined or deleted.
- Moderation: warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans and suspensions, with the reason and who made them. Discord moderation cases are kept for 12 months.
- Security logs: a record of staff and admin actions, and your IP address briefly in memory for rate limits and to protect the staff panel.
- Cookies: only the ones needed to keep you signed in and protect forms (no advertising or tracking cookies).
- Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across sites.
- Spam protection: the application form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check you're a person, not a bot.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Our Discord bot doesn't read your messages. Filters run on Discord's own AutoMod.
- We never see your Discord or Minecraft password.
Why we use it
To run the network and its website (our legitimate interest and the service you ask for), to keep players safe and stop cheating or abuse, and to show public stats you can see on the site.
Who else handles it
Discord (sign-in and our server), Cloudflare (keeps the site online and secure) and Mojang/Microsoft (to check Minecraft names). We don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights
- Delete your account yourself from your account page. This removes your website account, Minecraft link and sign-in sessions, and erases your application answers.
- We keep bans and suspensions linked to your Minecraft UUID, moderation cases for up to 12 months, and our security log, so that deleting an account can't be used to dodge a ban.
- To get a copy of your data, correct it, or ask about anything else, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
You need to meet Discord's minimum age to sign in. Applications to join the team are 18+ only.
